This session introduces participants to using ChatGPT alongside Microsoft Excel to speed up everyday spreadsheet work. Rather than treating ChatGPT as a generic chatbot, participants learn a structured, repeatable workflow for using it specifically inside Excel-based tasks - from writing formulas from plain-English requests, to explaining and debugging formulas they didn't write themselves, to cleaning up messy data and speeding up recurring reporting work.
The session begins with a clear look at what ChatGPT can and cannot reliably do inside Excel, so participants build accurate expectations from the start. From there, it moves into hands-on practice: writing real formulas from natural-language prompts, using ChatGPT to explain unfamiliar formulas inherited from colleagues, and troubleshooting common errors faster than manual debugging alone. Special attention is given to common AI mistakes and how to verify AI-generated formulas before relying on them in business reporting.
The final part of the session applies everything learned to practical, real-world business scenarios - building reports, summaries, and calculations with ChatGPT's assistance - so participants leave with a workflow they can apply immediately at their desks, not just concepts they've heard about.
